Have You Ever Wondered. . . .

Have you ever wondered how was the quality of life for someone else that are suffering through hard times. I often have. I also wondered how far away am I from hard times. I remember a few years ago I would ride the El train to downtown Chicago, and there was a man selling Street Wise Newspapers. He seemed like a man who had weathered one too many stroms and was over came by the effect of it. I had seen this man many times before, but had never paid any attention to him. But this day was different. I must have heard every word this man said that day. As he went through his presentation he made a lot of valid points. But one thing he said that gradded and stuck with me all the way to today, he said "all it takes is one small misfortune in your life that can change everything". And I believe that this may be the case for most people who are going through hard times.

What About All The Others That Are Helping

A lot of times people say to me, what about all the other Organizations who are helping. And I say to them, what are they doing for the people I help. I am not saying that other Organizations are not helping at all, even though I'm sure there are some that are not in it to help people. But to say more freely that it is a great number of those who are in need, and a small number of those who will actually help them. Now we know we can not help everyone, but we will help those we can. And only hope that we can continue to help more.
